Ashtanga Yoga

A dynamic and physically demanding style of yoga that follows a specific sequence of postures (asanas) linked together with synchronised breath (vinyasa). It was popularized by Sri K.

The Challenge

Characterised by a set series of poses that progressively become more challenging as practitioners advance through the practice. Ashtanga Yoga emphasizes strength, flexibility, stamina, and mental focus, making it a rigorous and transformative practice that aims to purify the body and calm the mind through disciplined movement and breath control.

Our Mission

Master the precise alignment and sequencing of postures, developing strength and flexibility to progress through the series, maintaining focused and steady breath (ujjayi pranayama) throughout the practice, overcoming physical and mental resistance, adapting to the intensity and pace of the class, and cultivating patience and perseverance as practitioners work towards mastering the challenging poses and experiencing the full benefits of the practice.

Since 2015 we have been on a mission to overcome the fear and judgement that is stopping too many women from being active and using gyms for their overall health and well-being.
